Intel and VIA in patent agreement negotiations

According to Chinese newspapers Intel and VIA are in negotiations over patent aspects of Intel's Pentium 4 chipsets which are set to expire in April:
VIA is negotiating with Intel to continue the agreement, according to the Chinese-language Apple Daily. Though there is no solid resolution yet, both companies will have more meetings before April to reach an agreement, noted the paper.

Sources at motherboard makers say that VIA plans to launch Intel chipsets supporting Vista Premium in the fourth quarter and include the VIA PT960 and VIA PM960, according to the paper.
