Posted on Friday, March 02 2007 @ 18:24:03 CET by

Shacknews reports S.T.A.L.K.E.R. has gone gold, the game will be released later this month.
At THQ's Gamer Day event on Thursday night in San Francisco, THQ worldwide publishing executive VP Kelly Flock announced that development on GSC Game World's incredibly long awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl has wrapped, with discs ready to go into production. The game is now set for release this month. Originally titled the easier-to-type Oblivion Lost--when it looked like this--the game has been in the works for well over five years.
A preview can be found over here.
