Vr Zone suggest the R600 GPU may be made on a 65nm process technology:
According to the source article with some translation over at Rage3D mentioned that senior officials from AMD informing their partners that AMD-ATi Tech Day for R600 will be held 16 days from now. R600 will be formally announced in six weeks after that date in early May. According to some rumors, AMD hopes to employ 65nm process for making R600 chips.
The reason behind the switch to 65nm appears to be the low yield rates at 80nm and power leakage problems.
