Intel Centrino to get new logos

The Inq found out Intel will present two new logos for its upcoming Santa Rosa Centrino platform.

There will be the Centrino Pro and the Centrino Duo brand:
Yeah, the wow would start here if MS hadn't pinched that slogan a few weeks ago. The Pro is defined as A T7xxx CPU, GM965 chipset, ICH8M chipset, and all the technologies there turned on. You may have heard of this as Santa Rosa.

In 2008, you need a Penryn, Cantiga GM or PM and ICH9M to get the logo. This will basically bring AMT to v4.0, a new spin of VT, and up the FSB from 800 to 1066. Yippee.

The Centrino Duo, now with added logo manliness, is the same thing without the VT, AMT or restrictions on the FSB or cache. Basically you can use slower chips and don't need the enterprise features.
