Half Life 2 => September 30th!

Yesterday, today and tomorrow there is a big gaming show running in London, the ECTS. The people from Eurogamer are there and have some interesting news to report about Half Life 2! They say that Greg Coomber from Valve was insisting that Half Life 2 is not delayed, and will hit the shelves on September 30th!

Speaking at Earls Court this morning, Coomber admitted "it'll be tight, but Half-Life 2 is still on for a September 30th ship". We hope you're right Greg.

Sadly the 25 minute presentation was exactly the same one that Valve CEO Gabe Newell delivered at E3 three months ago. Even the script was the same, much to the disappointment of those seeking nuggets of new information about the game.

Ah well. We'd rather Valve got the game out on time than spent ages cutting together new material for us to drool over. If the game really is only five weeks away, we've not got long to wait to find out for ourselves how good Half-Life 2 really is.
