Good news for mobile users who need lots of storage room, Dell and Alienware now have new HDDs available with a capacity of 250GB.

Previously users could only opt for 2.5" hard drives with a capacity of up to 160GB but now users can even choose to install two of these 250GB HDDs in their Alienware m9700 and Dell XPS M2010 notebooks, creating a mobile powerhouse with 500GB of storage room.

The HDD spins at 5400RPM, has a 8MB buffer and will be $299 more expensive than the standard 80GB HDD configuration.

Dell doesn't say which hard drives they use, but it's probably the new SpinPoint M5 hard drive series from Samsung.
