Apple WiFi iPod coming later this year

USI and Foxconn are rumoured to be working on certain things for a new Apple iPod.

It's said that the next Apple iPod will be launched in the second half of this year. One of the biggest new features will be WiFi support. The WiFi modules are manufactured by USI and Foxconn will perform as the OEM system assembler.
Microsoft's Zune has led to increasing development of Wi-Fi portable music players, with Singapore-based Creative and SanDisk showcasing such players at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Samsung and Sony are also planning to offer similar products, the sources indicated. Wi-Fi equipped players stand a chance of becoming the mainstream for all portable music models, the sources pointed out.
