Elitegroup launches the ECS 848P-A

ECS has launched his first i848 based motherboard. The i848 is a stripped down budget version of Intel his Springdale chipset.

Some of its main features ; Intel 848P + ICH5 , FSB 800/533/400, DDR400/333/266/200 (single channel, maximum 2GB), Two Memory slots, LAN 10/100Mbps (RTL8100C) , AC'97 onboard Audio, IDE UltraATA/100 and serial ATA , AGP8X and 5 PCI slots.

The motherboard has a price of 9800 Yen in Japan, this is approximately $84.
