AMD is getting ready to roll out its first K10 Barcelona processors but it's also working hard on other parts. One of these is Budapest, the successor of Barcelona, these processors will introduce HyperTransport 3.0:
The new part Budapest comes in socket AM2+ flavour and will be known as Opteron 1000 series. It will have Hypertransport 3.0 and will probably be significantly faster then Barcelona.

Barcelona works on socket F or socket 1207 and is strictly server part. However it is the same processor as a socket 1207 Agena FX. Agena FX is for gamers and will allow the first Octo pussy FX systems with 2xquad core in a system.
