NVIDIA is planning to go 45nm next year. The company still needs to migrate to 65nm first, but should be ready to switch to 45nm by the end of next year.

The switch to 45nm will allow NVIDIA to put up to 1.35 billion transistors on a 15mm x 15mm die, this is twice as much as is possible with the 65nm process.

After the transition to 45nm we can expect 32nm GPUs, these should arrive somewhere in 2010.
