AMD debuts Opteron 2222 SE and 8222 SE

Two new Opteron processors were launched by AMD today.

This includes the Opteron 2222 SE and the Opteron 8222 SE. The first chip ships for $873 and the second one is available for $2,149.

AMD also said its Barcelona chip will be up to 50 percent faster than the quad-core Clovertown Xeon processor series from Intel.
