Overlord screenshots and trailer

Posted on Tuesday, April 24 2007 @ 06:15:09 CEST by

VoodooExtreme has a bunch of screenshots and a trailer of the upcoming Overlord game from Triump Studios.

Overlord will be an action adventure in a fantasy world with plenty of black humour and dark irony.
Controlling a mysterious figure that has inherited the seriously dark legacy of the evil, long-dead Overlord, players begin the game as a mighty powerful character whose roots are firmly planted on the side of evil. The player's actions will determine if they will rise to become a fearsome new all-powerful Overlord; it's all down to how much of a bad ass they want to be in order to succeed… be it evil or really evil.

Overlord's key play mechanic is the introduction of an array of impish creatures - the Minions. They believe you are the old Overlord reborn and will use their unique skills to fetch, fight and die for you. Throughout the game players will actively control a horde of these gremlin-like critters. Their loyalty knows no bounds and their bravery borders on stupidity but, with every bone in their odd little bodies, they believe you are the reincarnation of their old master. As such, they'll follow your every instruction no matter how despotic or, for the Minions, life threatening it is.
