YouGamers will be posting news and commentary from the Assembly Winter 2007 video and computer gaming festival held on 27th-29th May in Tampere, Finland as it happens.

First Pro gaming results: in a World Cyber Games 2007 pre-qualifier tournament, the Warcraft 2007 final match was a tough fight with potential for controversy. Joona "Konna" Parikka got disconnected from the game late in the first round, but after lengthy consideration between both players and judges, he was deemed to have lost the round before the disconnect. In the end, Juha-Matti "Satiini" Backström took the match 2-1 from a very game Konna.

"Konna" commented: "I had a lot more fun in my earlier matches tonight." He and Backström know each other's style well from earlier encounters. "The competition was good this time, and I enjoyed playing in this high-level tournament", said Backström. "Satiini" is on fire - keep an eye on him as the WCG 2007 tournaments continue!"
