Seagate 1TB HDDs are ready

Posted on Thursday, May 03 2007 @ 00:11:30 CEST by

It's rumoured that hard drive maker Seagate has finished their samples of its 4 platter 1TB hard drive.

However, it's believed that Seagate isn't going to ship them yet as they still dominate the 750GB HDD drive market. The first 1TB Seagate drives will arrive this Fall.
Seagate wants to be sure that the products they ship are top notch. Hitachi's drives use five platters and are more expensive to build than Seagate's 1TB version.
