Sony Ericsson P1 - new smartphone

Sony Ericsson launched a new smartphone today, the P1. This device is 25% smaller than the Sony Ericsson P990 and features push corporate and consumer e-mail, WLAN and VoIP along with a 3.2 megapixel digittal camera with business card scanner.

Features:
  • Dual function keyboard - full alpha-numeric (e.g. QWERTY) text input combined with one hand phone usability
  • Choice of text input method including handwriting and word completion
  • Push email enabled including support for Exchange ActiveSync and BlackBerry Connect
  • Integrated WLAN and VoIP enabled
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with business card scanner
  • Large 2.6” touchscreen with a Transflective Display that is easier to view in bright light conditions
  • The device measures 106 x 55 x 17mm and weighs 124g. It has a 2.6" LCD display with a 240 x 320 pixels resolution and has lots of multimedia features like a digital camera with auto focus, 3x digital zoom, photo light, video recording, mobile TV with H.264 playback, MP3 player, FM radio RDS, RSS feed support and much more.

    The Sony Ericsson P1 will be available in the third quarter of this year.
