TG Daily writes the police has caught a 35-year old fugitive with the help of MySpace:
Police were able to track Bates down because he regularly checked his account from the same library. Authorities worked with MySpace and the library’s Internet service provider to track down the IP address and then staked out the inside of the library.

While on the run, Bates beat up an 88-year-old Estelle Ivey and caused her permanent eye damage.
The criminal received a 75-year prison sentence.
