FUD Zilla
found out that the R700 GPU from ATI will have support for DirectX 10.1:
There are some rumours that Microsoft might rename it DirectX 11, but we believe that it will stick with DirectX 10.something for now.
Last week we told you that ATI is getting really big on tessellation and you can read the original piece here.
We believe that tessellation will finally become a part of DirectX in the 10.1 version and the developers will have the chance to create big terrains with a few polygons. The chip will tessellate it, in up to 15 segments per polygon.
