The Desktop, Alternate, and Server ISO images are bootable and include a CD-ROM tester (for making sure the CD-ROM was created correctly) and a RAM tester. The System and Alternate CD-ROMs include a recovery shell for debugging an installed system, while the Desktop CD-ROM includes a Live CD system that can also be used for repairing the local host.
