The Inq heard TSMC has secured a contract with AMD to manufacture most of the company's 65nm GPUs.
Dark Mayor, AMD's chief operating officer, said that TSMC's 65 nanometre tech is proven technology. The chips will have good thermal characteristics, provide extra bandwidth for overclocking, and function at high speed.

The TSMC tech uses copper interconnects and low-k dielectrics, a nine layer metal process with core voltages of 1 or 1.2 bolts.
