DigiTimes had an interview with Richard Malinowski, the vice president of Intel's chipset group. They talk about chipsets, including the new Bearlake.
Q: Does Intel foresee any difficulty migrating to the 3 series from Intel's previous 965 chipset family?

A: Of course. We have been discussing with Taiwan-based motherboard partners regarding the migration between the 965 and 3 series and have been providing them with chipset samples so that they could start to run performance tests before the launch date. Intel's research team has been working to ensure the migration goes according to plan and to help motherboard makers control their inventories efficiently.
