Toshiba Satellite WXW 17-inch notebook launched

Toshiba just released its new Satellite WXW series in Japan.

These notebooks weigh 8.6 pounds and are a bit more than 2-inch thick but they pack a lot of high-end hardware. The Satellite WXW has a big 17.1" LCD display with a 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution and features a Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz processor along with a GeFroce 8700M GT graphics card.

Also included is a dual-layer DVD burner and a HDMI-out. Prices in Japan start around $1,799.
