Basic Data Recovery

If you do tech support on your forum, there's a case almost everyday where some poor guy needs to save his data from a non-booting Windows install. If they're not up for last week's Advanced Data Recovery article, here's the quick and easy way to save them:

"First, relax. Even if Windows won’t boot, your data is probably fine. Don’t listen to anyone that tells you to reformat the drive or reinstall Windows. That’s for after you rescue your data."
