VIA to quiet chipset business?

OCWorkbench heard rumours that VIA might abandon the chipset market to focus on other businesses.
Sources from various companies familiar with VIA chipsets indicated to us that the new chipsets are being removed from its roadmap.

If that is the case, we will be left with SiS as the only Taiwanese chipset maker for desktop boards especially for the Intel LGA775 processors.

Current chipset makers are AMD (acquired ATi), INTEL, SIS, and NVIDIA (acquired ULi).
