Posted on Tuesday, July 10 2007 @ 02:55:06 CEST by

BCC Hardware posted an article that is a must read for those of you wanting to buy a new LCD and are eying the very affordable 22" wide screen units, they talk about the Samsung 226BW LCD display panel lottery. He's taken apart a Samsung 226BW to find out what panel it's using. Not all 226BW's are created equal, and he shows you how to tell what model you've got. Take a look and make sure you buy the right one when you go shopping!

So you've just bought a shiny new Samsung 226BW that was supposed to be the latest greatest killer LCD on the market. There's only one problem, it doesn't look quite the way that it should. You look online to see if there is anything special about adjusting the colors or contrast and you find out some shocking facts. There are actually 3 different LCD panels that are marketed under the 226BW model umbrella.

Check it out at BCC Hardware.
