John Carmack doesn't believe in physics cards

John Carmack said to BootDaily that he doesn't believe in dedicated physics processing units. Carmack believes multi-core processors and GPUs will be able to handle physics and that add-in physics cards like the AGEIA PhysX will become unnecessary in the future.
“I am not a believer in dedicated PPUs. Multiple CPU cores will be much more useful in general, but when GPUs finally get reasonably fine grained context switching and scheduling, some tasks will work well there.”
