Kingston unveiled a new high-capacity flash memory stick, the 8GB DataTraveler II Plus Migo Edition.

Migo software gives users the freedom to work on multiple PCs in different locations, using the contents of their own desktop’s email, internet settings, favorites, cookies and history, plus files and folders. Upon return to the user’s host PC, Migo synchronizes the files and settings to keep data current. The password-protected drive thus allows users to view their desktop and access data on almost any guest PC. The drive’s newest feature, Universal Mail Format, allows users to access email among different clients such as Windows Mail, Outlook, and Outlook Express.

“With the growing number of business professionals and consumers working away from their office and home, the need is greater than ever to securely transport and synchronize large quantities of data,” said Robert Halligan, chief operating officer, Migo Software, Inc. “Kingston’s new 8GB DataTraveler II Plus – Migo Edition now provides the complete solution of high capacity storage with Migo’s state-of-the-art software to keep the data secure and fully synchronized. Users can work effectively along with the comfort and security of using features from their own desktop everywhere they go,” added Halligan.

The memory stick will be available for $154.
