D-Link just announced its first Wireless USB device, the DUB-9240 Wireless USB Kit.
Delivering significantly faster speeds over other short-range wireless technologies, products based on the new Ultra-Wideband standard offer consumers greater bandwidth to support large amounts of data at lower power levels, distances of up to 30 feet, and higher data rates up to 480 Megabits per second*.

"The high data rate of the Ultra-Wideband wireless technology will enable consumers to transfer audio, video, and large data files from USB peripherals to their PCs more efficiently," said AJ Wang, chief technical officer of D-Link. "We're proud to be among the first to receive Certified Wireless USB status and be able to offer a solution that is fully compatible with upcoming Certified Wireless USB products."

D-Link's Certified Wireless USB products are capable of delivering the convenience of Wireless USB to existing wired USB devices. The (DUB-2240) 4-port Wireless USB Hub and the D-Link (DUB-1210) Wireless USB adapter, offer consumers the ability to extend the range of their existing USB printers, scanners, and other devices up to thirty feet by simply connecting the USB adapter to their laptop or desktop PC and attaching up to four devices on the corresponding hub. In addition D-Link offers a kit (DUB-9240) that includes both the wireless USB adapter and 4-port wireless USB hub.
It will be available in Q4 2007 for $219.99. D-Link also has the 4-port DUB-2240 Wireless USB HUB and the DUB-1210 Wireless USB adapter, both will sell for $119.99.
