Shuttle today introduced a fully equipped, pre-configured media centre system. The new Shuttle XPC G5 3201M is the first SSF PC equipped with a Blu-ray drive, enabling it to play the latest HD-format cinema films.
"High-definition entertainment in SFF PC format has, with this Shuttle XPC, become a reality," explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. "And the use of latest componentry makes possible the playback of full HD material while maintaining a low system load."
The increased performance, necessary to achieve this, comes in the form of Core 2 series processors, up to 4 GB of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS graphics card with accelerator functions. The Shuttle XPC G5 32100M also fully supports HDCP copy protection media, via DVI and HDMI, guaranteeing hassle-free and smooth connections with modern flat screen displays; and the graphics card has the capacity to deliver big picture format entertainment, from the latest PC games, on your home TV.
The system's basic configuration is based on Windows Vista Home Premium with its integrated media centre software. A practical remote control means that navigation of the system child's play, while the VFD display in the front panel keeps you informed of what's going on.
The Shuttle XPC G5 3201M is also highly communicative thanks to its integrated WLAN module, and gigabit LAN. A 7.1 Audio chip puts you right at the centre of the action, whether watching films or playing 3D games, and its audio signal can be transported, via SPDIF, to connected speakers without any loss in quality.
Every fully configured system from Shuttle comes with a 24-month Pick-Up and Return service and a Europe-wide telephone hotline for fast assistance.
The Shuttle XPC G5 3201M is configurable, to your own requirements, in the Shuttle Systems Configurator. Processors, memory, hard disks and TV cards as well as additional Shuttle XPC accessories can be individually selected.
Shuttle's XPC G5 3201M is available for 1,419EUR (without VAT).
