It's been quite a while since we've last heard anything from S3 Graphics but it looks like we can expect two new GPUs from this firm by year-end.

This includes the Chrome 460, a 90nm graphics chip with DirectX 10 compatibility and the 65nm Chrome 430 which will be DirectX 10.1 compliant. Both chips will have a maximum frequency of 1GHz, use PCI Express 1.0 and will feature HDMI and HDCP support.

The Chrome 460 is aimed at mid-range systems and the Chrome 430 at entry-level applications, in addition to clients in the set-top box and embedded markets. Both GPUs will be made by Fujitsu and volume production is slated to start before the end of this year.
