Kingston is the biggest memory maker

Market research firm has finally finished a report on the DRAM memory market in 2006.

The data indicates memory maker Kingston ranks first with $2.2 billion sales in 2006, almost 50% more than the year before. Kingston has 18.1% of the market

Smar Modular ranks at the second place with 5.5%, Ramaxel third with 5.3%, A-DATA fourth with 5.1% and TwinMOS is at the fifth spot with 4% marketshare.

The global DRAM market sales increased from $8.883 billion in 2005 to $12.229 billion in 2006.
