Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America, says the firm is going to make sure that an unprecedented number of Wii consoles will be available this holiday season:
"The good news is we're flowing more and more product into the marketplace and the amount of Wii hardware that will be in North American stores will be unprecedented," Fils-Aime said. "Substantially more than the launch, substantially more than has been seen to date."

Though the president gave no hard numbers, and said prospective buyers would most likely have trouble finding a Wii in stores because of high demand. Fils-Aime also touched on Wii Fit, saying there's much more to the casual gamer-oriented, Shigeru Miyamoto-helmed software than consumers and media have been shown.

"What we showed for Wii fit was just small taste. The game is incredibly deep," the president said. "I can guarantee you Mr. Miyamoto will surprise and delight us. It will be fantastic, and all of the other capabilities for the Wii Balance Board will make this a must have title when we bring it into the marketplace in 2008."
