DisplayPort - here's how it looks like

Posted on Thursday, September 20 2007 @ 01:15:19 CEST by

FUD Zilla has a nice photo of how the upcoming DisplayPort will look like:
It is a licence free audio and video connection and will be used mainly as a connection between the display and the computer or the computer and a home entertainment system.

It wont be natively compatible with HDMI or DVI, but there will be a workaround to make it work, much like DVI can be connected to an HDMI or D-Sub display.

This is what it looks like and everyone including Nvidia, ATI and Intel will go down the Display port road in 2008.
