A couple of months ago I took a look at the HTC S710 smartphone and today HTC released an updated version of this WM6 phone: the HTC S730.

This new Windows Mobile 6 3G/HSDPA smartphone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a faster processor, 256MB (twice as much as the S710), 64MB SDRAM, a 2.4" LCD display, 2 megapixel camera, a VGA camera for video calling and microSD memory card support.

The phone has a standby time of up to 388 hours for GSM and 290 hours for UMTS. The talk time is 318 minutes for GSM and 210 minutes for UMTS. The phone measures 105.8mm x 51mm x 19.4mm, it's a bit thinner but slightly wider and longer than the S710. The phone weighs 150g, which is 10g more than its predecessor.

An enhanced version of the successful HTC S710 handset that launched earlier this year, the HTC S730 adds 3G/HSDPA and a 400MHz processor for those consumers and business professionals who want high speed connectivity. It's is a stylish and compact phone which features an auto-sliding QWERTY keyboard making it an ideal choice for the mobile professional who needs easy access to email, messaging and the internet while out of the office. The HTC S730 comes equipped with Windows Mobile 6 and 256MB Flash memory wrapped in a sleek gun-metal grey casing.
The HTC S730 will be available across Europe later this month.
