Mushkin announced a new 1066MHz DDR2 memory kit with 5-5-5-18 timings. The Mushkin HP2-8500 modules are available as single 1GB DIMMs and in 2GB dual-channel kits.

The firm claims this kit will offer good overclockability at "affordable" prices.
“Being in the high performance memory market for over thirteen years gives us the advantage of knowing exactly what enthusiasts demand: great overclockability at competitive prices,” said Brian Flood, Mushkin director of product development. “We have managed to create an offering that meets that criterion and carries the same high standards of quality as our other products.”
The HP2-8500 memory kit will be available on October 15, 2007. The 1GB module is listed on Mushkin's website for $72.38 and the 2x 1GB dual-channel kit for $145.01.
