ATI plans comeback in 2008

This year hasn't really been that great for AMD. Their processors failed to compete against Intel's chips and their graphics division ATI wasn't really able to keep up with the GeForce 8800 series from NVIDIA.

According to FUD Zilla ATI is planning a comeback in 2008:
ATI missed a lot of opportunities in 2007 but it still managed to shape up and win some market share back, but it looks like 2008 is its year. Some sources close to the company have told Fudzilla that the company will be back in mobile market as well as in OEM business this year.

Nvidia gain a lot of that share but ATI is again faster with process transition and 55 nanometre parts will fit really nicely in mobile chips. There will be a lot of new ATI chips to accommodate Penryn Santa Rosa refresh systems and it looks good even for the next cycle, at least this is what our sources believe.
One of ATI's hopes for the high-end market will be the R700.
