Next Generation Digital PWM
abit IX38 QuadGT Digital PWMWith the new Smart-Slave technology the power switch frequency can effectively be quadrupled over conventional PWMs. Digital PWMs offer most precise and consistent voltage supply for reduced power consumption, less heat and increased components' life. Next Generation Digital PWMs provide highest accuracy for the best computing experience ever, noise interferences are avoided and energy efficiency is highly increased by realizing ideal resistance ratings (low RDS) during charge-discharge power switching.

The power inductor is magnetically coupling phases to replace conventional multiple discrete inductors. This solution improves performance 4x and more. Energy is stored longer and the current can be regulated more accurately.

Ceramic capacitors provide for excellently low resistance characteristics (ESR) thereby reducing power consumption and electrical noise to an absolute minimum.

100% solid state capacitors
These advanced capacitors consist of conductive polymer and therefore offer a vast range of advantages such as higher temperature tolerance, higher ripple current and improved frequency characteristics over conventional electrolytic capacitors.

abit IX38 QuadGT Digital PWMExtendor Silent Dual Pipe Cooling
The copper based dual-heatpipe heat sink with extra slim fins and an additional cooling Extendor maximizes heat dissipation by linking the North Bridge high-fin heat-sink via a heatpipe to on extra high-fin heat-sink.

The Digital PWM silent cooling heat sink consists of extra slim and extra high fins thereby effectively increasing cooling. In addition this special design utilizes the airflow of the CPU cooler to blow heat out of your case through the back panel. You also have the option to mount an extra active fan on top of the heat sink.

abit puts you into the driver's seat. With best quality components, next generation electrical design for power efficiency and increased stability, as well as the innovative Extendor cooling solution you are ready for speeds well beyond 1600 MHz FSB.
