Gateway P-series notebooks launched

Gateway unveiled a new series of 17" notebooks - the P-series.

The P-6801 is the base model. It's available for $799 and features an Intel dual-core 1.46GHz processor, 1GB memory, 160GB HDD and integrated X3100 graphics from Intel.

There's also a $949 model - the P-6822 - which features a 1.5GHz Core 2 Duo, 250GB HDD, HDMI output and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.

The notebooks are immediately available.
