ATI RV670 to be launched as Radeon HD 3800?

We all believed the RV670 would be launched as the Radeon HD 2950 but a new page on Gecube's website claims otherwise. The blank product page on Gecube website seems to indicate that the RV670 will be launched as the Radeon HD 3800:

VR Zone backs up this story and reports AMD not only changed the naming scheme but also decided to drop the Pro, GT, XT and XTX suffixes and replace them with two digits to determine the performance of the card.

The RV670PRO will be known as the Radeon HD 3850 while the faster RV670XT will be launched as the Radeon HD 3870.
