GeForce 8800 GT performance in UT3

Posted on Friday, October 19 2007 @ 18:18:50 CEST by

I came across a pretty interesting chart today which shows the performance of a lot of high-end, mid-range and low-end graphics cards from ATI and NVIDIA in Unreal Tournament 3.

What's even more interesting is that the performance of the GeForce 8800 GT is also listed on this chart and it's performance looks marvelous in UT3. At a resolution of 1280 x 1024 it's faster than the GeForce 8800 GTX and only 0.06FPS slower than a GeForce 8800 Ultra! This almost seems too good to be true.

Check out VR Zone for more. They also have the results of a HeatRay Fly time demo in which the GeForce 8800 GT took the third spot, just behind the GeForce 8800 GTX. Unfortunately these tests seem to be done without AA/AF - it would be interesting to see the results if these were activated.
