FutureMark 3DMark 2008 to be Vista only

Details of the next version of 3DMark were posted on Yougamers. We don't know the name yet of this benchmark suite but it could be something like 3DMark08.

Few is known about this benchmark except that just like the new PCMark Vantage it will be Windows Vista only and you'll also need a DirectX 10 graphics card.

Here are the minimum system requirements:
  • Processor: x86/x64 single core CPU with SSE2 support. Performance similar to Intel Pentium D 3.2GHz or better.
  • Display Card: Fully D3D10/SM4.0 compliant graphics card, 256MB
  • Memory: 1024MB
  • Free Disk Space: 2GB
  • Operating System: Windows Vista (Server editions not supported)
  • And the recommended system requirements:
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or equivalent AMD CPU.
  • Display Card: Fully D3D10/SM4.0 compliant graphics card, 512MB
  • Memory: 2048MB
  • Free Disk Space: 2GB
  • Operating System: Windows Vista (Server editions not supported)
