ExtremeTech has published a review of the Hanns.G HG281D LCD display. This is a 28" LCD display that can be found for as low as $600 in some online stores.
The HG281D features a native resolution of 1920x1200, and at 28" in size, it seems like quite a steal for under $700 (you can find it from some online stores closer to $600). Sure, it's basic—there's only a VGA and HDMI connector, with not even a USB port in sight. But if all you want is a basic, large PC monitor, you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars more, right? Well, that all depends on the image quality you expect. The HG281D isn't bad for the price, but it certainly falls short in some key image quality criteria.
Check out the review over here. Unfortunately you get what you pay for, the display has a poor gamma curve and dark color performance and no extras at all. Therefore the display only received a 5 out of 10.
