Intel Core 2 Extreme CPUs to get a new cooler

Posted on Tuesday, October 30 2007 @ 21:14:58 CET by

VR Zone received photos of a new cooler that may be bundled with Intel's Core 2 Extreme processors.

The cooler has a design that reminds me of ThermalTake's Orb coolers and features a blue LED fan. The cooler is made out of aluminum and features a copper base. It looks kinda pretty but the performance probably won't be that good.

One of the pictures at VR Zone show the cooler also has a P/Q switch. I guess the switch is used to choose between a performance and quiet mode.
