ATI's upcoming Radeon HD 3870 will be $50-60 cheaper than the GeForce 8800 GT but according to FUD Zilla the card will be about 20% slower.
RV670PRO will end up even cheaper as it has the hard task of fighting the soon to be launched 8800GT 256MB version. The performance analysis is based on more than ten games and the current drivers, so if ATI comes up with miraculous drivers maybe they are going to be even more competitive.
The biggest advantage of the RV670 over the GeForce 8800 GT is the DirectX 10.1 support and there are also some rumours that the card has a quite low power consumption.
