Sony VAIO UX UMPC - costs $2,499

Sony unveiled its VGN-UX490N/C UMPC. This Ultra Mobile PC uses the Intel 945GMS Express chipset and has a 4.5" LCD touchscreen with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution.

The handheld computer has a 1.2GHz Core 2 Solo U2200 ULV processor, 1GB PC2-3200 DDR2 memory, 48GB NAND flash memory storage capacity, Intel GMA 950 graphics, one USB 2.0 port, a 0.3MP front webcamera, 1.3MP webcamera in the back, built-in microphone, Ethernet RJ-45 port, WiFi 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth support.

The device runs Windows Vista Business and has a battery life of 1.5-3h or 3-7 hours with a large capacity battery. The device measures 5.91”(W) x 3.74”(H) x 1.27-1.50”(D) and with a standard battery it weighs 1.2lbs.
