IAX Tech got their hands on a Radeon HD 3870 graphics card. They published some photos of the card and and benchmarked it in 3DMark06 and Crysis. You can check it out over here.

The site has single-card and CrossFire results of the Radeon HD 3870 and compares the card against NVIDIA'w wonderful GeForce 8800 GT. Here are the 3DMark06 results:

The overall 3DMark06 score of the 8800 GT is higher in all four tests but in the SM 2.0 and HDR SM 3.0 tests the Radeon HD 3870 sometimes beats the GeForce 8800 GT.

The site also benchmarked the cards in Crysis benchmark but used only a 1280 x 1024 resolution and no AA. Here are the results:
  • Radeon HD 3870: 14.58FPS (average)
  • GeForce 8800 GT: 15.35FPS (average)
  • The GeForce 8800 GT is a tad faster than the Radeon HD 3870 in Crysis but the site noticed image quality problems with the 8800 GT, just like some other sites last week.
