Dell learned from its mistakes and will soon release a new and improved 30" LCD display - the 3008WFP. The Inq reports this display will feature much better connectivity.

The 3008WFP will feature D-SUB, dual DVI-D, S-VHS, Composite, 4-port USB hub and a 9-in-2 memory card reader. Also new is the support for HDMI and the new DisplayPort standard.
The video processing chip in the monitor will enable decent resolution scalability, so you will be able to use 2560x1600, 1920x1200, 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and all other often used resolutions.

Dell's 3008 will tilt and swivel, and this time around, vertical extension capabilities are improved.

Pricing and availability details aren't know but it won't be cheap. The current 3007WFP-HC display has a base price of $1,399.
