HTC to debut 2-3 Android phones in 2008

Posted on Wednesday, November 14 2007 @ 05:16:55 CET by

HTC is planning to release two or three phones based on the Google Android platform next year:
High Tech Computer (HTC) expects its revenues to grow more than 20% on year in 2008, and the company also plans to launch 2-3 Android-based mobile phones in the coming year, according to the Chinese-language Commercial Times which quoted remarks made by HTC CEO Peter Chou last week at a meeting with analysts from foreign investment firms in Taiwan.
The phone maker is also working on a new non-Qualcomm 3G phone and a new user interface to replace its TouchFlo technology. Also coming in 2008 or early 2009 is a new WiMAX/TC-WCDMA phone.
