Some hot new news about the next Pentium 4 chipsets from Intel. It seems that the Grantsdale will be called i915, and the Canterwood successor, the Alderwood will be called i925X.

Another thing that AnandTech discoverd is that there is a Socket 775 P4 Extreme Edition planned for Q2 2004, perhaps the announcement may even coincide with the launch of Socket 775.

A 4GHz Pentium 4 is planned for Q4 2004, but it is not sure if this one will be solely for Socket 775 or not.
