Chinese PC maker Hasee has released a new low-cost PC that will compete with the Eee PC from Asus:
The Q540X low-cost PC will adopt a 13.3-inch display, an Intel Celeron 540 processor and a 80GB hard drive, and the system will have a total weight of only 2.19kg. Pricing will be 2999 yuan (US$405), the same as that of the Eee PC in China.

Channel makers in China think the Eee PC's display and keyboard are not suitable for children and the elderly, while the performance is worse than that expected of the Q540X. Therefore the Q540X should able to fulfill all the drawbacks of the Eee PC.
