Besides the Kone mouse Roccat is also working on a new keyboard for gamers: the Valo.

This keyboard features 2MB of internal memory to store up to 5 profiles. Each profile contains 4 layers and each layer can store 41 macros with up to 512 key commands plus timing information. Roccat boasts the Valo can store 420,000 commands and 420,000 timings.

The keyboard has 41 macro keys and just like some other gaming keyboards like the Razer Tarantula it features anti-ghosting. It also has a set of multimedia keys and one of the interesting features of this gaming keyboard is that you can record new macros ingame with the special macro record button. Pretty cool.

The keyboard has a small two-line LCD and features 3-stage illumination on all the keys. The Valo also has a twin USB hub with pass-tru audio plugs and it even features a noise-cancelling gaming microphone.

Features:
  • Illuminated Keys and Display for improved key hit rate and
    vital in-game information
  • 41 macro keys for ultra long macros with 512 keystrokes
plus timing information stored directly on the keyboard
  • First keyboard with 2MB integrated memory for storing 5 profiles with 4 layers each including individual macros
  • Integrated TurboCore Unit (40MHZ) for up to twice the processing power of other high class gaming keyboards
  • Macro Pause and Macro Kill buttons for quick and easy macro recording
in seconds without leaving the game
  • Enhanced connectivity with 2 USB ports, headphone and microphone ports
  • External ROCCAT Gaming Microphone with uni-directional noise-cancellation technology
  • Anti-Ghosting capability for simultaneous keystrokes
  • Media keys with quick access to important multimedia functions
  • Compact gaming shape with rubber coated frame for long lasting maximum grip and comfort
  • Windows keys, Shift Key, Caps-Lock and Tab-Key can be deactivated to avoid accidental return to the Windows Desktop or wrong keystrokes
It will be available in February 2008 for 99EUR. Most of us haven't heard about this company yet but I have a feeling that they will become pretty well known next year as their first lineup of products looks quite decent.
